**Does the Shipping Rates API require an eBay login?+**

No. Quote requests use your CompSniper API key and do not require an eBay account, OAuth connection, or customer cookies.

**Are these retail or eBay discounted rates?+**

The response preserves both the retail estimate and the discounted estimate exposed by eBay. When a discounted value is unavailable, effectivePrice uses the retail estimate and priceSource says retail.

**Are special packaging and Media Mail options always usable?+**

No. Custom-package requests keep ordinary applicable services in rates and place carrier-packaging or content-restricted options in conditionalRates with explicit requirements. Select the matching package.type or confirm Media Mail eligibility to move a conditional option into rates.

**Can the endpoint purchase an eBay shipping label?+**

No. The endpoint is quote-only. It does not purchase labels, charge postage, update orders, or change an eBay seller account.

**Do shipping quotes spend sold-comps requests?+**

No. Shipping Rates is a separate subscription with an independent request allowance. Your sold-comps plan and purchased credits remain unchanged.
