eBay sold filters gone?
Sold data still works here.

What can I use now that SerpApi no longer returns eBay sold listings?

In late July 2026 eBay put sold and completed listings behind sign-in. SearchAPI dropped its sold_listings and completed_listings filters as of July 23, 2026, and SerpApi deprecated the eBay Search API show_only=Sold and Completed filters on September 28, 2026, after those searches started returning empty results. CompSniper uses signed-in eBay sessions, so GET /v1/scrape still returns up to 240 real eBay sold listings per request as JSON, across 8 marketplaces.

CompSniper vs SerpApi / SearchAPI

SerpApi and SearchAPI are general search scrapers that read public pages. eBay sold results are no longer public, so a dedicated sold-data API is now the practical route.

Why people switch

Why teams move their eBay sold searches to CompSniper

It works behind eBay's sign-in wall

Sold and completed results now require a signed-in eBay session. CompSniper runs those sessions for you, so your code keeps receiving sold listings instead of empty results.

A two-line migration

Swap the endpoint and the auth header. Your keyword stays the same, and you get sold price, sold date, shipping, condition and seller on every row.

The math is already done

Every response includes the median, 25th and 75th percentile and average shipping, with optional AI cleanup that removes accessories, parts and wrong models first.

To be fair to SerpApi and SearchAPI: they are excellent for Google, Amazon and other search engines, and still return active eBay listings. If you only need sold eBay data, a specialist that handles eBay sign-in is now the simpler choice. Keep them for everything else.

The 5-minute version

Replace the sold search in one request

Send the same keyword you sent to the eBay engine, with your CompSniper key, and get completed eBay sales back as JSON with the median and price range included.

Questions

SerpApi eBay sold listings FAQ

Did SerpApi stop supporting eBay sold listings?+

Yes. SerpApi's release notes list "[eBay Search API] Deprecate Sold and Completed filters" on September 28, 2026. Its public roadmap issue reports that show_only=Sold and show_only=Completed searches had started returning "eBay hasn't returned any results for this query".

Why did SearchAPI drop sold_listings and completed_listings?+

SearchAPI's documentation says that as of July 23, 2026 eBay requires signing in to view sold and completed listings, and because it only retrieves publicly available pages, those filters are no longer supported.

How does CompSniper still return eBay sold listings?+

CompSniper runs signed-in eBay sessions on its own infrastructure and parses the sold results for you. You call GET /v1/scrape with a keyword and receive up to 240 sold listings as JSON; you never handle eBay logins yourself.

How hard is it to migrate from SerpApi's eBay engine?+

Usually a few lines: change the URL to https://api.compsniper.com/v1/scrape, send your key as Authorization: Bearer, keep your keyword, and set ebaySite for non-US marketplaces. Map soldPrice, endedAt and url to the fields your code already stores.

Is there a free tier?+

Yes. 100 requests a month with no credit card, each returning up to 240 sold listings. Paid plans start at $9 a month for 2,000 requests, and failed requests are never charged.
